Morphe Shimmer Nature Glow Palette (35OS)

Right, if I did one of those 'YouTube/Instagram made me buy it' posts, this palette would definitely be included. I never thought a photo could persuade me into buying something but yes, turns out it can have the power to do that. One of my resolutions this year was to venture out on my makeup and actually make an effort cause I'm not the greatest but I want to learn. So that is the reason I kind of bought this, excuses I know but its just so PRETTY!!!

So I bought the Morphe Shimmer Nature Glow Palette (35OS). I was on the waiting list for so long, kept looking on the cult beauty website and constantly urging the palette. Every time I looked I wanted it more and more so I told myself that as soon it came back in stock I would have to make a small purchase. When I got home after my Valentines day out, I saw that I had an email telling me that it was finally back in stock and I've never been so quick to buy something. May have told myself it would be a V-Day present from me to me. So I ordered it Tuesday night and then Thursday it arrived!

Onto the palette itself. As I said I purchased the palette from Cult Beauty, which I 100% recommend, for £23.50 and then £3.95 for delivery. I'm not one to spend a lot on eye shadows or makeup at all, the majority of my makeup is from the drug store but I didn't mind splurging out on this because I new how good it would be. For 35, extremely pigmented shades, I think it's insane how good value for money this is and it is perfect for any makeup look, natural or smokey eyed. This particular palette is all shimmery shades but some more than others so you can still use them in the crease as they are completely blendable. The colours are mostly creams, browns, burgandys and orangey shades, I'd say this would be perfect for autumn looks but I'll be using it every season possible!

The packaging is all matte black with the Morphe logo at the top, the palette is quite big but it's flat and I won't be travelling around with it so it's perfect for use at a dressing table where is won't be moved too much. The palette also doesn't have a mirror, which is kind of annoying as I prefer it when eye shadow palettes do have mirrors and the shades don't have names or numbers which also makes it frustrating because I never know which shades I'm using but whatevs.

If I've persuaded you into buying on of these beauties, sorry not sorry because you will not regret it! If you're just starting off with makeup or your looking to expand on your makeup skills I would definitely purchase this.

Pancakes Lovin'

So I'm actually a sucker for Valentine's Day. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the one day of the year I can feel fully girly and see everything girly, pink and pretty. Shops are full of red, pink, hearts, flowers and everything is just so cute and pretty.

Valentine's isn't just for cheesy couples either. I feel like it's the one day you should appreciate anyone who means anything or even makes you the slightest bit happy (cringeyyy). However being on my own and not with a significant other or even my gal pals makes me personally feel like I should go full on and pamper myself. February 14th can be a day for pampering or spending it with the ones you love and making excuses to spend money on cute things or even food like I did this year:))).

Food makes me happy so that counts right?!

Anyway, myself and a couple of my gal pals decided to go out for breakfast at Bills. Of course I was partly there for the Instagram pic but ngl the food was pretty insane so it was worth it.

Bills is one of my favourite places to eat and I've never been disappointed with the food, service or anything so I new it would be perfect! I was feeling healthy (for a change) so went for the 'Watermelon, Peach and Raspberry Juice', I'm not a massive fan of watermelon but it was so good however if you don't like seeds in your drinks I wouldn't recommend this. They also decorated it with a slice of melon and I felt like I was on holiday sitting in the sun! So onto food, pancakes. Yes I couldn't not order pancakes. I chose the 'Banana, Strawberries and Maple Syrup Pancakes', also amazingggg!! It's actually making me hungry thinking about them and writing this post aha! So they were so good and I also 100% recommend!!

I had such a good day, catching up with my friends and then relaxing and watching movies in the evening.

So whatever you did today or doing tomorrow I hope you were surrounded with love, happiness, pink sparkles and hearts! Happy Valentines!

Busted 28/1/17

Saturday 28th was the day my 5 year old dreams came true, yes Busted came to the UEA. After trying for a while and the band eventually announcing a second tour date, myself and a couple of my friends got tickets!!

Watching the band I had loved perform 'Crash the Wedding', 'Air Hostess' and 'Year 3000' as well as some from their new album was insane! Ngl I loved them during their teenage grungey stage and now their 30, married with kids it was a bit different but nevertheless. It was definitely worth seeing them as I knew from my friend's snapchat stories I would be crying inside if I hadn't got tickets so even though my feet were killing from working 9-6 so standing most of the day it was such a good night!

9 Things Which Made 2016 Awsome

How is already January 2017 like wtf?!

I've decided to write a list of my favourite things of this year, like memories, food and other random things which made my 2016.

2016 made me feel great about myself, my life and everyone who is a part of it and made it special to me. I feel like 2015-2016 made me grow up, mature and think about the future and it's made me realise how grateful I am for all of that.

This next year is meant to be the year I leave home and go to uni, how I don't feel old enough or responsible enough for that?! I'm so anxious however I am so excited to find out where I am and what I am doing this time next year.

So here are the absolute best parts of my 2016.

1. FRIENDS

This year has been the year of creating memories with the best people I know. I've realised that the fewer friends you have the better the friendships are. The people in my classes at school have made me feel so happy and actually want to go to school every day and for that I love them (excuse the soppy paragraph).

2. PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

Can we just stop and think about PLL!!!!!!

I've never been one of those TV addicts until this year. PLL changed my life, I spent every moment I could watching it as it's insaneeee!!! I cannot wait until April so season 7 pt 2 can begin and I can forget everything bad again.

3. CORNWALL

This year was the first time I've ever been to Corwall but I enjoyed it so much. Ngl the weather was so much better in Norwich that where we were on holiday but spending the mornings watching friends was great! I felt so relaxed and enjoyed it so much.

4. HIGH NECK THINGS

Anything with a high neck is just amazing, and I have no been able to take myself out of this style.

This year has been the year of living in black high-waisted jeans and high neck tops or jumpers, in all seasons. I literally have a high next top for every day, I mean it's an obsession but they are way to comfy to stop wearing.

5. SLEEK HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE

Right, if you have not been on social media, YouTube or Instagram this year you would've not seen the hype about the Sleek, Solstice Highlighter Palette. This year has been all about the highlighting and that palette has made my year and my face.

6. TURNING 18

On September 3rd, I entered adulthood.

I can legally buy alcohol and experience the city nightlife, which is actually so fun even though I was extremely drunk the whole time and regretted it all the morning after. I spent my 18th first with my family and then celebrating with my friends at my fave restaurant, Bills. Then picked up the new family kitten, which leads me onto my next point.

7. CATS

I am 100% a cat person over a dog person which is why I found this year challenging. May this year, I lost Olly and that was honestly the hardest part of my year. If you're not an animal person, read on but he was like my best friend, he suddenly left my side and I was missing something that I really needed back.

I needed another feline in my life, so for my 18th, I received a white, tabby, female kitten called Flossie. She is adorable but she is also crazyy. She's filled the space in our house which was missing.

8. SALTED CARAMEL

If you've never tried salted caramel, pause and come back once you have cause you are missing out.

I could not write this blog post without including salter caramel. I'm talking about biscuits, drinks or even body wash I have been overly addicted. The sweetness with the salt is just too good to resist omg.

9. VELVET BOOTS

In November 2016 I got my hands on some black velvet boots, I have never been that person to actually like buying shoes. I mean I'd prefer to buy makeup or clothes but I felt like I really needed to indulge myself in them. When I was shoe shopping with one of my friends, I cam across some velvet chelsea boot heels. I could not stop thinking about them for over a week that I eventually treated myself to them. Since, I have used every occasion I could to wear them.

So they are my nine favourite of 2016. I have loved every single thing and so much more but these are just a few I've picked out.

I hope 2017 is just as great, if not better, that 2016 and I can't wait to share as much as I can on here.

Roll on 2017!!!!

ASOS Splurge

Over the past couple of weeks I have been obsessed (slight understatement) with muted pink and I was in need of some muted pink trousers to carry on my summer pinky themed wardrobe (also got a cute summer dress btw).

Are you really a girl if you don't have at least one pink item of clothing?

I ordered these beauties last Friday (before school as like a mini spontaneous order) and they were outside my door on Monday. You wouldn't believe my excitement when I opened the package. I have actually already worn both of the trousers around my house and I am in lurve with the fit and everything about them!!

The only disappointing thing is that to achieve a natural tan I need my legs out in the sun and since I've got these items for a first in England it has been a hot sensation of loveliness for this whole week so far so I haven't worn them to their advantage.

First up are these dusky pink trousers. They are so comfy and are a smarter version of joggers I guess? You could literally wear them with anything, either dress them up or down and they would look insane. They are cuffed at the bottom and look so flattering on. The belt makes you look 100% put together as well, loveee them!!!! You can find them for £25 on the ASOS website here.

These were the next beauties I found. I had been dreaming about buying some new skinny jeans but I wanted another colour rather than blue or black. I came across these on the website and could not resist, they were exactly what I wanted. I have no clue how I'm going to attempt to style them or pull them off but I don't even care, they were too pretty not to buy. They are just regular skinny jeans and I pullled them up high enough for them to be high waisted. There is also a raw hem to add some extra detail and I love them so much!! You can find them on the website here for £20.

By this point, I thought I'm actually going to have to ban myself from the ASOS website and any online shopping but I needed to buy this dress and it was too pretty to leave and I knew I would wear it loads. It is such a pretty dress that can be wore at any occasion, it can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with converse. It's also so comfortable and I am in love with it!!! It is a cold shoulder dress so the shoulders are cut out with such as pretty detail of frills which I love!!!! I got this in the sale for £15 which you can find here

So there is everything I brought from ASOS and I really need to put myself on a spending ban but I am so happy with the things I bought as I love them all and I'm sure they will get a lot of use out of them.

An Evening In Morairia

Wherever I go on holiday, I never know what to wear if we go out in the evenings (which for me is an excuse to take more clothes in my suitcase!) and while we were away it was my step mum's birthday so we all went out for tea to a very lovely restaurant overlooking the sea while the sun set and the Spanish culture came to life! It took me a while to pick out what I wanted to wear but when I finally decided, I really liked my choice so I've decided to do a blog post about it for anybody in a situation like mine.

Morairia was very hot during the day so I knew it would be quite warm in the evening. I wore a long sleeved coral crop top from Forever 21, I love this top; it's quite thin so I knew I wouldn't be to hot but to make sure I wouldn't overheat (it wasn't that warm but you know aha) I wore some black and white loose floral shorts which have been a favourite of mine during summer as they are so comfy! Although you can't see in the pictures I wore some tan sandals from H&M which I think made the outfit complete! I had bought my necklace on holiday which was my new love and I'm so happy I bought it (after quite a while of deciding whether to get it or not!).

As it was a special occasion I decided to glam myself up slightly and put the make up I had bought with me into some use. On my nails I had my BarryM Gelly 'Passion Fruit' nail polish which is perfect for summer as it is a bright orange toned red and I wore my Mac lipstick in the shade 'Vegas Volts' this is the perfect match for my coral top that I was wearing. On my eyes I used 'Sidecar' all over my lid, 'Darkhorse' in the crease and 'Virgin' in the corner of my eye from the Naked 1 palette to give a slightly golden smokey eye and the mascara I used was Maybeline 'Lift Volume Express'. Although I didn't really need it, as I finally had a slight tan, I used my Sleek bronzer and highlight in 'light' and my Sleek brow kit in 'dark' for my brows. Finally I used my Bourjois blush in 'Bonne Mix' which is a very pale pink to give a subtle summer glow to my cheeks and to keep everything in place I used the Rimmel Stay Matt powder in 'Sandstorm'. I really liked the way my make up looked after planning how I wanted it, with my outfit it made me look very summery and my lipstick made my look put together.

Our meal was perfect, looking out onto the blue crystal sea was beautiful. The sea was very picturesque from looking down at it from the restaurant but the restaurant itself also looked incredible during the sun set and felt like the perfect holiday meal to sit and overlook the sea. To make the night even better I had my perfect meal which was a chicken cesar salad and a lemon Fanta (the best drink to ever exist!). Then we walked into the main town and each got some frozen yogurt with caramel sauce and some smarties (it's actually making me hungry thinking about it, yumm!). It was a perfect evening in Morairia!
